Leads Club Chapters are open for business with record-breaking attendance and business getting done.
As always, I commend and celebrate our Members. The pivoted quickly and seamlessly to online Video Conferencing and kept the momentum and business relationships they have created over time intact.
Honestly, I am concerned for the small/micro business person and how they will survive the Pandemic. One of the hardest parts for many of us is not knowing how long this will all last. Hence making it difficult to plan the future of your business. While this is definitely a challenging time, please allow me to share some light.
The following are stories, mostly from our Members, of how they have redefined their businesses.
Our beloved Hairdressers. We love you and truly cannot live without you. For those who are playing by the rules, here are some creative ways they are keeping on. A. Sell Gift Certificates and give Certificate holders the first appointments in your calendar when you are back. B. Not sure if this is legal, but one woman asked her hairdresser if she could mix up her color and supplies and she’d come to pick it up and pay the full price. It worked like a charm, and the future is not so dim for these two creative women.
Event Planners. I can’t tell you how many friends have said: “I’m having one huge party when this is over.” This is my thought, while you are less busy, create some “Post Pandemic” Party Packages. Utilize your social media to share your ideas on what you will create for these welcome back parties. And there are people out there with money, so book those parties and collect a deposit. I haven’t googled it yet, but the sooner you are out there offering something for us to look forward to, the better odds of people choosing you and your business.
Estate Planning Attorneys. An Attorney in my network posted this online workshop for creating two critical documents; • Advance Health Care Directive (with Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care), and • Durable Power of Attorney for Management of Property and Personal Affairs, for only $129.00 per person. The going rate here in San Diego is $250.00 per document. Check out our Facebook Post in Leads Club Inc. March 31 at 4:45pm. Think about this, if you have a loved one that you are concerned about and can get this done for such a nominal rate, wouldn’t you think of her the next time you needed an Attorney?
A 25+ year Mary Kay Sales Director Lisa W., here in San Diego was concerned that 4 of their 5 Distribution sites were closed. We brainstormed some ideas and check out what we came up with. She is a Makeup Artist as well as a Consultant. I wanted to know the best way to do my Make up to look good/professional in Zoom meetings. Lisa immediately listed 3 things to do, including purchasing a Ring. She then said, no big deal. But yes, it is a Big Deal. I didn’t know this stuff. So now we have an expert in Zoom Call Makeup Expert at your fingertips. My next question to her is, how can I make my nose not look so big!
A Professional Organizer here in San Diego was sharing her business concerns. She likes to go to her client’s homes while working with them. As luck would have it, my own Organizer recently went virtual with her business due to some back problems. I was able to share this with her and a few other of her fellow Members had also suggested the same thing. She was going to give it a try with two clients she’s currently working with and I look forward to hearing how it’s going.
A Videographer in our I-15 Chapter was sharing that she can do marketing and social media but not shoot video. I beg to differ. Just that week I had been filmed via Skype doing a video testimonial for the Coaching Company I took my training with.
Do any of you remember when there was a prediction circulating that we would do virtual Dr. visits? At the time it sounded utterly impossible.
Again, please allow me to share my concern and compassion for everyone going through tough times, however it presents in your world. But if we can all put on our thinking caps and let our creative juices flow, we can come up with amazing opportunities like I shared above. I will continue to share more as I hear about them, just look for the “Reinvent” photo.
If you have a story of how you or an Associate reinvented your business during COVID 19, please share here and we’ll all prosper.
Respectfully,
Lisa
