Biographical Info I've designed custom residential landscapes in Santa Barbara for 25+ years and involved in horticulture since I can remember. I graduated from UCSB in 1981 with a BA in Experimental Psychology. I immediately went back to the plant world and landed a drafting job with a new Landscape Architect in town who didn't know local plants. We exchanged lots of great information, he taught me much. I commuted to the UCLA extension program Landscape Architecture Program once a week for a couple years to fill in the blanks. I enjoyed working in various Landscape Arch. offices around town until I got married and pregnant with my first daughter. I started Lisa Holzman-James Landscape Design 3 months after my Isabel was born and have been at it, since.
