Dr. Susan Kelenyi, Founder of Optimal Health & Wellness Center Dr. Susan Kelenyi was born and raised in Chicago, IL. While considering a career in the health care field she discovered the self-healing power of chiropractic care. As a young adult, Dr. Kelenyi developed asthma. Her condition continued to progress for 14 years promoting continual inhalers and multiple drugs use. Afraid to leave her home without her inhaler, she began chiropractic treatments, diet modification, nutrition and lifestyle changes under the advisement of her personal chiropractor. Much to her surprise and delight, 4 months into her program, she no longer required any further medication. She has remained medication free and pro-chiropractic ever since. Dr. Kelenyi is part of a evolving generation of Chiropractic physicians utilizing functional neurology and metabolic medicine with today's patient population. She is the clinic director of the Optimal Health & Wellness Center, in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Dr. Kelenyi has dedicated her practice to helping people with chronic conditions that have not responded well to other treatments or who have not met their recovery goals using other methods.
